March 2010 - Successful redevelopment of Acufirm Ernst Kratz KG

During a business asset sale the Ernst Kratz KG Nadelfabrik has been assigned to a new entity the Ernst Kratz GmbH. After several months of negotiations with private investors the company has finally been transfered in March 2010. The company still offers the whole product range (acus, canulas and custom products) Thanks to the successful restructuring the major part of jobs was saved. After the reorganisation involved parties are confident that the new company is startegical and economical well prepared as the investors have profound market knowledge.

December 2009 - Sale of Sanitätshaus Horst Greve

The Sanitätshaus Horts Greve Gmbh a retailer of medical and orthopedical articles in Wedel close to Hamburg, has been sold to the Schaarschmidt & Bock Orthopädietechnik GmbH in Uetersen, a regional competitor, because of succession planning issues. The company will continue running independent business at the same place.

CMC supported the transaction.

Mr. Simone Mencaglia joined CMC Italy as a partner in December 2009. He started his career as a Product Manager for Karl Storz Endoscopy America Inc. in L.A. (U.S.A.) and then moved to Mexico City (Mexico) for the same company where he gained experience in Gynecology, Orthopedics and General Surgery products. After leaving with an honor award from the management, he was asked to form a new subsidiary and came back to Italy as a Managing Director of Storz Medical Italia S.r.l. (Rome, Italy). Mr. Mencaglia was founder and Managing Director of Lithomobile, today part of Alliance Medical Inc. In 2007 he set up the new subsidiary Medplan Engineering Italia S.r.l. in Florence as Managing Director.

October, 2009 - Actom France, a leading French manufacturer of prescriptions (with a special technology for manufacturing protected prescription for) has been acquired by Mr. Christophe Le Pargneux. Actom France shareholders sold their shares for succession planning reasons. CMC advised the buyer.
