Sale of Polab Sp. z o.o.

CMC was an advisory company in the sale of Polab Sp. z o.o., a Polish laboratory distributor, by its Italian mother company Biosigma S.r.l. to BioMaxima S.A.

BioMaxima, a producer of reagents and diagnostics tests, purchased 100% of Polab’s shares. Polab’s product portfolio shall be an excellent add-on to their current offer. This transaction shall imply that BioMaxima might become the second largest company on the diagnostics market in Poland 2011.

“Initial discussions concerning the purchase took place in October 2009, but the key phase begun in April 2010” – announces Mr. Lewczuk, chairman of BioMaxima. “From our perspective the investor BioMaxima shall create new development opportunities for our assortment” – replies Mr. Marcolin, chairman of Biosigma. “The sale of Biosigma’s products in Poland shall increase significantly due to sales channels of BioMaxima” – he adds.

Polab Sp. z o.o. is a distributor specialized in small-sized disposables and consumer products for diagnostic devices and tests, mainly produced by Biosigma.

Biosigma S.r.l. is an established producer of biotech materials for laboratories and research centres.

BioMaxima S.A. is one of the leader on the laboratory diagnostic market in Poland. It is listed on NewConnect stock exchange.
